Rebuilding design operations after an acquisition

Design teams were fragmented and fatigued. I was asked to rebuild design operations and unify the Australian team with the global organisation.

Hired and managed designers across Australia, the US and Latin America
Co-designed career ladders, grading and hiring
Built delivery frameworks, rituals and research operations
Result: rebuilt Australian design operations and lifted global design maturity

Cross-functional alignment through ambiguity

Two merged companies had conflicting priorities and fragmented delivery. I drove alignment across global integration programs.

Coached teams through integration pivots, managing up, across and into delivery
Recalibrated roadmap commitments with investors and the C-suite

Research standards across geographies

Research practice varied between regions. I co-chaired the global research committee to create one practice across Australia and the US.

Leading through five global restructures

Over two years, acquisition, integration and shifting priorities brought six restructures. I led my team through five of them and beyond, under sustained pressure on morale, focus and delivery.
